In early May 2006 EnerTech started work on the clean closure of the abandoned landfill that occupied the site of the Rialto Regional Biosolids Processing Facility. The clean closure procedure consisted of removing all contamination from the landfill, sorting through the excavated material and refilling and re-grading the site with clean dirt. This process was completed in September 2006. EnerTech started construction of the new facility in the 2nd Quarter of 2007.
Encouraged by strong support from the City of Rialto, EnerTech is working diligently build a facility that will benefit the city economically, create a renewable fuel, and provide a long-term, environmentally sound biosolids management solution for the Los Angeles area.
